GitExplore was a university project aimed to be a tool for reuse and code analysis.
Inspired by GitLab and using GitElephant, we created a tool to explore and analyse data in locally stored git repositories, in order to, first, get simple informations about the git repository (file explorer, branches, tags) but also get relevant data such as:
- lines of code and the heaviest files (an user can quickly find a God-class, spaghetti code...)
- Information about commits (frequency, type of commit, differences...)
- contributors and their activity
GitExplore was created using Symfony 3.0, Bootstrap 3, GitElephant and JQuery.
The website can be found at this address: http://gitexplore.forgh.net/
And its code here: https://gitlab.info-ufr.univ-montp2.fr/forgh-lamant/GitExplore
